Madison & a Teacher's Gift

Friday, May 26, 2017

Just a few days ago, we celebrated my daughter's 7th birthday. Within the blink of an eye, Eva-Madison went from a baby in my arms to a little girl with tons of sass and personality! She's a little shy at first, but when she warms up, she loves to sing and dance, especially to her favorite movie's: Trolls, Happy Feet, and Moana. Madison is incredibly kind and loves to see a smile on your face. She's always there to comfort you with a big hug at just the right times and I love it when we rub noses just for fun. She told me one day that she wanted to be a teacher when she grows up, and I can see her doing just that. She enjoys helping others, she loves to learn and read books, and she's great with teaching others. I am so very proud of her and blessed to have her as my daughter.

For Madison's birthday, I wanted to write her a special note because she often comes home from school with sweet notes and pictures she drew for me.  Each and every one meant the world to me and I wanted her to have something special from my heart to hers. It read...

To my sweet Madison:

I will always love you more than you will ever know. I love your many hugs and cuddles together and I love your beautiful smile. You make me happy everyday with your silly laughs, your cute talents, and when you say, I love you. You are the sweetest, smartest, and most thoughtful girl I know and I wish you the happiest 7th birthday!  Mommy and Daddy love you very much and we are so proud of you. Enjoy your birthday and we hope it's very special, just like you! We love you to the moon and back!"

A birthday party is in the works and I hope to share some photos with you within the next few weeks. Aside from Madison's birthday, this has been a busy last week of school. I've been attending events daily and was making something special for Madison's 1st grade teacher. Hand making gifts for the kid's teachers have been a tradition since Preschool. This year, I decided to gift one of my infamous wreaths for her teacher to put in her home. Wreath's are a welcoming gesture for a home and liven up a space beautifully. A collection of faux blooms and greenery made up this wreath and hopefully she will get good use out of this charming gift.

There are so many things that I'm grateful for, my two beautiful and loving children who ended the school year with amazing grades, and I'm thankful for the teachers that helped make their goals a reality. There's nothing more fulfilling in my life than being a mother to my gems: Eva-Madison and Austin-Tyler. I hope you all have a great Memorial Day holiday and thanks for reading along!

Warmly ~
