FRIDAY FAVORITES: March Edition

Friday, April 7, 2017

Today's Friday Fave's is all about rounding out the beauty products that I've been loving for the entire month of March. This past month was a pretty busy one jumping from one event to the other, so I relied a lot on the same beauty routine to keep me looking well put together.  It was a good thing however because it gave me a chance to see how well these products worked for my skin. These were the one's that made the cut and I'm so glad they did!  Keep reading for more details!

Austin (Soft Medium Pink)

1. Over the years, I have gone from one toner to the next, not really finding one that didn't irritate my skin. Recommended by a Sephora SA, I decided to give this Korean brand Beauty Water by Son & Park a try and I'm so glad I did. Marketed as a toner and a cleansing water for removing makeup, I mainly enjoy using this at night as a toner. It gently removes any makeup residue after washing my face and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. I only apply a small amount onto a cotton pad and swipe it onto my face and neck. My pores are noticeably smaller and I've noticed acts as a gentle, yet effective exfoliate. I highly recommend this, especially if you have sensitive skin.

2. A new primer that I've added to my collection is the Josie Maran Argan Finishing Balm. I've been a loyal fan of Josie Maran products for a couple of years now and knew this wouldn't disappoint. I really like the way it smooths out any pores around my nose and my chin, by gently patting and pressing it into the skin. This primer was a Sephora perk sample, but you can count that I'll be purchasing the full size once it runs out.

3. For nearly the whole second half of March, the Dior Capture Totale Dreamskin Cushion was what I was using as my base.  I did a review of this product here and it's really opened my eyes to wearing lighter coverage on the daily. This is more of a tinted skincare product that leaves your skin feeling hydrated, protected with SPF 50, and with even-toned skin. Combined with a new favorite concealer, these two are a match made in heaven! It does cost a pretty penny, but you get the benefits of skincare, SPF, and coverage all in one and an additional refill sponge is included! I use shade 20 for my medium skin tone.

4. A current love that took me by surprise is Nar's Soft Matte Complete Concealer!  I can not recommend this enough, especially if you suffer from dark circles or a drier under eye area. This concealer has a soft matte finish, which isn't drying what-so-ever and will not accentuate fine lines! I first apply this with a small dense brush under my eyes and also as a lid primer. Smooth it out with your finger tips and add a light dusting of translucent powder and it's set for the day! This is hands down my favorite pick for March!

5. Originally on the search for a cream highlighter, I came across this cream eye shadow in Mousseline PK224 from Shiseido. Having not used Shiseido makeup before, a Nordstrom's SA recommended this pearly pink shadow as a highlighter option. I love it for it's many uses and like adding it as the first step to my eye shadow look and also as a highlighter for a soft natural glow. I just use my ring finger to apply and blend it out. I've been using this practically everyday in some way or another. You have to look into this for sure!

6. A blush duo I've been getting compliments on lately is the Tom Ford Highlighter/Blush duo in BiCoastal. It's a formula that can be applied wet for sheer coverage and dry for more color payoff. With a beautiful raspberry blush and a pearly soft pink highlighter, these are the perfect combo to my everyday natural makeup look. Swirl the two shades together to get a beautiful and soft flush of color to your cheeks.

7. Who knew that I would love metallic lipsticks as much as I do! Tom Ford Lips & Boys mini lipsticks in William (nude beige) and Austin (soft medium pink) are among my favorites. Both have a subtle shimmer, leaving a pearlescent finish that nicely accentuates your lips. I love them so much that I own two of each color and like carrying them in my handbag or clutch. Metallic lip colors are perfect moving into the Summer months for those sultry bronzed makeup looks.

That wraps it up for my March beauty favorites and I highly recommend them all! Can't wait to chat again soon and have a great weekend ahead!

Warmly ~
