As of late, I've fallen head over heels for soft pinks and blues, especially paired together! They're absolutely dreamy as a match and it's become pretty clear that my wardrobe is being filled with more of this gorgeous color scheme. I had loads of fun with this look, while the talented Christina of Creative Clicks Photography worked her magic - she kept me smiling from ear to ear and I felt so girly and sophisticated, confident in my skin.

Also love these tops here, herehere, and here
Banana Republic Pencil Skirt (Similar here and here)
Topshop Floral Handbag (In store only)

I was in awh when I saw this amazing over the shoulder top at H&M! I adore blush and everything about it, had me at hello! The bows are so lovely, giving that girly element to whatever you pair this look with - your favorite jeans or with a pencil skirt. Some OTS tops can be too fitting across the shoulders, but I found this to be the comfiest top. It's currently sold out in this color, but I also love this striped soft blue version, which is really on trend right now.

It's been some time since I've shopped at Banana Republic and after popping up in the store recently, I immediately thought "where have I been all this time?!" I was quickly reminded of why this store was a classic to me, with wardrobe staples that last the test of time. The quality of their garments are impeccable! This flannel stitch pencil skirt was one of the items I picked up and I couldn't be more happy with it.  This pencil skirt is so soft that I could wear it for hours on end. I love how it resembles light denim, so I could wear it dressed up for work and outings or wear it with a basic tee for days I'm running errands. It's such a versatile skirt that you can take with you through the seasons.

I topped the whole look off with this darling floral handbag and a pair of nude heels to fancy it up a bit. To see more of this handbag and others I've been loving this season, click here for a post on my current Spring handbags. There's no denying that this is one of my favorite looks and I hope you love it as much as I do! Have a wonderful weekend and chat with again soon! All my love ....

This has been the year of jewelry for me, incorporating more unique and dainty pieces, as part of my everyday look. There's something special about choosing a delicate necklace, a pair of beautiful earrings or a statement cuff that ties the whole look together. I've really enjoyed selecting pieces from my jewelry display (found here), and with a spritz of my favorite perfume, I'm off to start the day on the right foot.

Gold Chevron Earrings // Gemstone Bar Necklace

I've always adored drop earrings, especially when they're lightweight enough to wear everyday. These gorgeous pair of chevron earrings caught my eye at first glance, for it's modern and feminine design. They're so comfortable to wear, with effortless movement to them and I love how beautifully they glisten through my curls.

For those that love boho inspired looks, this gemstone necklace will be an absolute dream for you! With Summer just around the corner, you'll be seeing more of the layered necklaces look. I've been wearing this paired with a choker style necklace and really love how it highlights my decollete. The gemstone itself is gorgeous, so feel free to also wear it solo. Both of these pieces are perfect for everyday, work or play. We all want those versatile pieces that make memories with us, join us through the seasons, no matter the occasion. And that's what I look for when selecting jewelry.

I hope you love these pretties as much as I do! To shop these and others, head over to Lemon Sweet Jewelry on Etsy. There are so many unique and beautiful well-made pieces that you'll fall in love with! They're curently offering free shipping on orders over $50 with code FREESHIP50 and I'm already making my list for another order! Remember, Mother's Day is just around the corner and these would make the perfect gifts. Have a beautiful week friends!

Beautiful Spring weather has graced us for the past couple of weeks, letting the light finally peek through the house. The oak trees dancing from side to side as the birds sing through the leaves, reminds me of why we invested in our project home last year. We have managed to take down the dark wall paper in the dining room and freshened up the bedrooms with our favorite paint colors, Alabaster and Worldly Gray by Sherwin Williams. Reno homes can take years to complete, but I find comfort when searching for home inspiration to keep me excited about the outcome.

I like to think of my style as soft and romantic, with bits of simplicity and charm. The walls of our breakfast nook are covered with dusty rose wallpaper (original to the home), and I have grown to favor shades of pink, to compliment the crisp white walls and the wood elements in our 1980's home. I have already incorporated a few rose colored decor pieces here and there and have also added blush bedding to the master. Hopefully, I can share these little updates with you in the near future. If you warm the tone of a feminine color, such as pink, you can really create a gender neutral & sophisticated space. Add a few natural wood furniture pieces, with bit and bobs of black, gray or soft blues, you'll satisfy your beau's need for some masculinity in the space.

If you'd like to follow along and see my current inspo in style, home decor, and events, be sure to check me out here: Pretty with Sprinkles on Pinterest. I'm always posting new inspiration each day, so I'd love for you to follow along.  Have a beautiful week lovelies and chat with you again soon!

I never head out the door without my sunnies in one hand and a handbag in the other. I've been swooning over so many gorgeous handbags this season, from clutches to totes, and I had to share a few new additions I've purchased recently for Spring and Summer.

Topshop Floral Handbag (In Store Only & also love this one)
Gucci Marmont Matelasse Crossbody in Light Pink
Top & Skirt via Marshall's (Similar here and here)

When looking for a clutch or fun handbag, Topshop is always a place I can count on. Their bags come at a comfortable price point, without sacrificing quality ... and we can all really appreciate that! The first bag I picked up was an envelope clutch that I wore to a wedding recently. It complimented my floral dress beautifully and I couldn't have asked for a better combo! The gold hardware is also a lovely touch and it's versatile to wear with so many outfits. I've actually taken this out quite a bit already because it's so effortless and pretty by my side. You'll be happy to know that it's only $28!

Another Topshop goody is this amazing floral handbag! The floral design and embroidery are truly one of a kind and the colors are perfect with the season. The gold chain strap definitely adds a luxe feel to this bag and it's one I love displaying on my dresser. It's available in stores only, but there's another version here online, which is just as gorgeous.

For those looking for an investment piece, this Gucci Marmont Crossbody is an excellent choice! Crossbody bags in general are so easy to carry, lightweight, and are great for everyday wear. My hubby gifted me with this for Valentine's Day and I was so surprised to see this dusty pink shade as a new color to the Marmont Matelasse Collection. The chevron quilting, along with the Gucci emblem is the prettiest and you're sure to love it even more in person. It has a convenient adjustable strap and other colors are available. A staple for busy gals and moms on the go!

There have been a couple more bags that have been on my wishlist, which is the infamous Gaia's Ark bamboo handbag and this casual suede tote from Madewell. I wonder which one will be next? What have been your favorite accessories and handbags this season? Do check out these pretties and have a lovely weekend ahead! xx

Can you believe that it's that time again for Sephora's VIB sale?! It seems that every beauty lover, including myself, long awaits this twice a year event.  The sale runs April 18th-24th, with VIB Rouge members receiving a 15% discount and VIB's getting a 10% discount off their purchase. As an added perk, if you purchase online through EBates, they are offering 3% cashback on your purchase. With a sale like this being pretty rare, it's the perfect time to pick up luxury items, skincare, bases, and makeup staples, with a couple of newbie's to transition into Summer. These are all the goodies I recommend and why:

1.  T3 Whirl Interchangeable Styling Trio: A styling tool favorite by many, this is a curling wand I can't be without! I achieve the prettiest beach waves using the larger barrel, but love the fact that you get 3 different styling barrels to create the curls of your choice. A definite must have!

2. SK-II Essence: This is a skincare product I've been wanting to try for awhile and was finally able to, as a Sephora perk. I now understand all the hype around this gem! Used after toner and before your serums, this has helped my once fatigued skin feel hydrated, clear, free of texture, and glowing in just a short span of time. Thankfully with this sale, I'll be able to save 15% on this luxury item.

3. Drunk Elephant Skincare Line: One brand that continues to blow me out of the park is Drunk Elephant. I have experienced amazing results with hydrated and even-toned skin with the Lala Retro Cream. I have now moved onto the Vitamin C & Glycolic Night serums, which have helped improve the clarity of my skin. I highly, highly recommend this brand, especially for those with sensitive skin.

4. Josie Maran Pure Argan Oil: This has been a staple in my beauty regime for years! Although it has many uses, it works great as a moisturizer for your face and for the under eye area to help reduce the look of fine lines and aging. This oil is incredible and have gotten all my family and friends hooked on this!

5. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation: For those that enjoy medium coverage with a natural to radiant finish, this is a phenomenal foundation. I love the fact that it's so light weight and applies beautifully with a beauty sponge. I'm probably one of the last people to try this, but this GA foundation is definitely one to add to your makeup bag!

6. Dior Capture Totale Dreamskin Cushion: Reviewed and raved about on my blog, this tinted skincare cushion is a dream for those that want a natural and radiant complexion. Light coverage at best, it's the perfect everyday base with SPF50. Feel free to check out my full review here for more details.

7. Josie Maran Daily Moisturizer SPF: This is a physical SPF (not chemical), that gives you the benefits of light hydration with Argan oil. I use it everyday and it's gentle enough to use on the kiddos.

8. NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer: Mentioned recently in my Friday Favorites (here), this is definitely a concealer to pick up. The formula is reminiscent of Cle de Peau's full coverage stick concealer, but it's less drying and the staying power is all day.  I didn't expect to love this as much as I did, but it's now all I use.

9. Marc Jacobs Gel Highliner Pencils: These are the best eyeliner's I have ever tried! They're creamy, easy to apply (even to your waterline) and they last all day. I rotate between Brown(out) and (Ro)Cocoa, which is a part of their shimmer liners. You have to try these, if you haven't already!

10. Hourglass Brow Scultping Pencil: This is an awesome brow pencil if you want to achieve natural and feathery eyebrows. I also prefer the angled tip, which helps with application. There is a spooley on the other end of the pencil, as well as a built in sharpener to keep the angle crisp if you need it. Warm Brunette is my perfect match.

11. Tom Ford Cream Eyeshadow: I can attest that this is the creamiest and smoothest cream shadow you will ever try! They apply effortlessly with you fingertips or with a brush and the glitter celestial is gorgeous! New colors are available for TF's Spring/Summer collection, so do check out all the color combos!

12. Dior Nude Air Luminizer: This is a stunning highlighter that adds a bit of shimmer onto your skin without being too much. I've tried and will pick up Pink Glow, but Golden Glow is another amazing color to try. I can see this being a popular item this Summer for sure!

What products will you be picking up during this VIB sale?  I'd love to hear what's on your wishlist! I may give it a try!  Have fun shopping lovelies!

5 Tips for Finding Inspiration

Thursday, April 13, 2017

Finding inspiration when you're in a rut can be a pretty difficult thing, especially when you're trying to quickly get out of it. As a blogger, it can be challenging to stay inspired and to post new content all the time. Especially during times where you feel overwhelmed, your mind becomes blank, leaving you unmotivated and doubtful. I tackled this problem for most of March, and it wasn't until the chaos subsided that I was able to bring myself out of it. These are the tips that I found very useful and I hope they help if you're needing a creative recharge.

1. Change your surroundings:  As some of you may know, we have a reno home and much of our limited space is serving a double purpose, while other area's of the house are being updated. Because of this, my work space was shared with my daughter's bedroom. I initially thought it was no big deal, but I found it very difficult to write there. I just didn't feel creative in that space. If you aren't feeling inspired where you're at, change your surroundings! Move near a window, change rooms, and if you have a laptop, try writing at a quiet park or new coffee shop. Sometimes we need to change our surroundings to get our creativity flowing again.

2. If you feel overwhelmed, take a break, and a long one if you need it! Social media can really consume us, between constantly posting and attending to all our social platforms. Even the daily tasks of running a small business can be quite demanding. I did it for 6 years and I never worked so hard in my life. On top of that, some of us still have to work, go to school, and/or take care of a family. Eventually you're going to feel burnt out, exhausted and uninspired. So, take a break for a weekend to give yourself some time to recharge. If you feel like you'll loose progress, it's going to be ok. Everyone takes a break at some point or another!  It may not be when you're having yours, but it's essential to rejuvenate ourselves in order to return even better than before. You'll be happy you did and will grow from it!

3. Go back to basics!  Think back to what inspired you in the beginning. Was it looking at fashion or home decor magazines, taking walks and enjoying nature, traveling (even it it was a short road trip to a neighboring city). Give some of those a try and see if they spark your interests again. For me, it was looking at weddings I previously styled and peeking into Anthropologie catalogs I've collected over time. I was reminded of the things that I love (colors, patterns and styles), which gave me new inspiration for future projects I'm now excited to work on.

4. Bring the outdoors in! Set up fresh blooms in places that you pass by often. The entry way of your home, dining table, your bedroom, and on your work desk. Perhaps it's the color, the smell or even the brightness that motivates you to think of something new. Adding fresh flowers throughout the house or even cheerful floral prints here and there, like this one from Anthropologie, will create the ambiance you may have been needing.

5. Stick to a calendar and write your thoughts & ideas in a journal! This is a tried and true tip that is so important to follow. To keep yourself from feeling overwhelmed, put yourself on a schedule to keep you on track. You'll feel more organized, accomplish more, and will prevent you from feeling like you're all over the place.  Keeping your mind focused and organized will leave room for new ideas to come your way. And be sure to jot down those ideas in a journal! It's always a good reference when you're in need of new inspiration.

I hope these tips are helpful in getting you to feel inspired and motivated once again to blog, create or start something new! It is a process, but it will be well worth it, especially when you come out feeling eager and full of new ideas.  Have a wonderful holiday ahead and thank you so much for hanging out with me awhile! xx

Lilibet Dress from Anthropologie /  Marcella Block Heels from Target
Eyelet Clutch - Similiar here
Bead Tassel Earrings - Similar here & here

What a beautiful week it's been so far! My mom has finally come to town, healthier than she's been in a while and very eager to start a new journey in her life. I've been showing her around to see if perhaps, Houston could be her next destination to live. I'd love to have her on board as my creative partner with my event styling business, Pretty with Sprinkles and together we can soar to new heights. We shall see and with my fingers crossed, I hope she'll take that leap of faith and move to Houston for a fresh start on life with me and my family.

Now, let's move onto the good stuff!  With wedding season, Easter, and Mother's Day celebrations on the horizon, this gorgeous ombre pink dress fits the bill and it's on sale at Anthropologie! I love outfits that make me feel beautiful and classic, while having a playful and girly edge to them. It's quickly becoming a favorite of mine and I feel so confident and full of smiles when I wear this! Not to mention, the ombre effect and the billowy bell sleeves add the loveliest touch to this dress. Pair it with this season's popular shoe styles: strappy block sandals, espadrille wedges or slides, you really can't go wrong with either. Limited sizes are available online, so your best bet is visiting an Anthro store.

Any plans for the Easter or Mother's Day holiday?! They're both coming up so quickly! Have a wonderful week lovelies and chat with you again soon! xx
