GRWM {Makeup + Fashion}

It's Friday with beautiful skies & the sun is shining through the windows! That means I'll be heading out the door for brunch soon, making it the perfect opportunity to share my Friday Favorites in a "Get Ready with Me" sorta fashion. Yay, I'm pretty excited about this one!

As you may know, I've been relying on my trusty Tom Ford Seductive Rose eye shadow palette for everyday. Two shadows, topped with a glitter celestial, makes for a quick and effortless look. But of course, all you really need is a light shimmer shade, a darker matte shade, and a glitter topper. I do like a cut-crease look at times, but I went back to an old technique that I think really looks amazing on all eye shapes. This is how I get the look ...

1. With a large fluffy brush, put the lightest shimmer shade all over your entire lid and along the bottom lash line to brighten up your eyes.
2. Then with a light hand, take a bit of the darker shadow and add that to the outer corner of your eye, using a smaller blending brush. Lightly feather the color into the center of your lid and into your crease, to create a gradient effect.  Sometimes I take it in further, just avoiding the inner third of the eye.
3. Lastly, take the glitter and press it onto the center of the lid, spreading outward using your ring finger. Tom Ford celestial's are the best, but I also enjoy using pressed glitter from Charlotte Tillbury, Bobbi Brown, and Loreal's Infallible Eyeshadow, an excellent drugstore option.
4. It's a soft and romantic look that you can leave "as is", but for today's look, I later added my favorite liquid eyeliner by Stila.

While doing my makeup, you'll likely catch me watching my favorite YouTuber's or listening to my current music fave's: Down by Marian Hill, Million Reason's by Lady Gaga, and That's What I Like by Bruno Mars.  For an instant pick-me up that will send you dancing across your room, listen to Hand Clap by Fitz & Tantrum's. Oh no, I think I just busted out with some power dancer moves. ;)

I'll be having brunch in Tomball, Texas, which is a place I really like hanging out in! I love town's like this, as it reminds me of a Northern Bay Area town in California that I grew up in during my teen days. Charming houses, vintage-style street lights, and darling boutiques, I could spend the whole day here!

For today's outfit, I picked up these strappy heels on sale last year from Anthropologie and they couldn't be more perfect. When I wish for accessories to be the highlight of the show, I opt for a subdued monochrome look. Here, I went with shades of white and this outfit ended up being a beautiful backdrop for my accessories. I kept things airy with this Juliet style top and an a-line skirt that dances in the wind. Curled hair with my favorite gold earrings, and a vintage rhinestone hair clip like this, creates the dreamiest of looks.

Who knows, after brunch I might do a little vintage shopping or check out this cute little clothing boutique that just opened. What are your plans for the weekend?! I hope they're absolutely wonderful and I can't wait to chat with you again soon!

Warmly ~
