Romantic Lace Top

Thursday, September 29, 2016

There's nothing more romantic and feminine than a lace top! It's amazing how one piece in your wardrobe can transform your outfit into a look that's sophisticated, ethereal, and beautiful. There are so many styles and silhouettes available in a variety of laced patterns, that I have devoted an entire clothing rack in my room to these gorgeous garments. I must admit, I do have an obsession with all things lace, but for good reason.

I picked up this top during Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale last month and I'm so glad I did. The vertical lace and dotted stripes are stunning, especially at the hem. I'm wearing it here with black skinny jeans to highlight the detail, but I have also worn this with an all white pencil skirt for a softer look. I do appreciate the flowy tunic fit because with my lifestyle, I find myself looking for pieces that are comfortable and have easy movement to them.

Onward to the cap toe heels, which are definitely worth mentioning. I have been a fan of the cap toe style ever since my first pair of Tory Burch chunky heels. This shoe style does an amazing job at creating a slimming and elongated effect to your legs. They really do elevate your look with a dressier feel and they're surely worth owning a pair...or two....or five.

Cap toe heels are ideal for work and evenings out, but I love the idea of pairing a lace top with cap toe flats for daytime wear!  Be sure to check below for some ballet flat options, as well as a few other lace top options.

There will be some exciting things happening in the next few days and I'm getting giddy just thinking about it. My little sister, mom, and aunt will be coming to visit in just a couple of days and I can't wait to see them! The weather is supposed to stay beautiful through the weekend and it will be the perfect time to take them around Houston. My mom has been battling breast cancer after being in remission for 10 years and I'm so grateful that she can take a little break to enjoy life. She's the most amazing woman I know and she has battled this with such strength - it makes me so proud of her and proud to be her daughter.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead, take some time to enjoy the wonderful weather, and I can't wait to chat with you again soon!
